CD Projekt RED has posted on their twitter account a post dedicated to confirming the multiplayer on Cyberpunk 2077 is in development.
As a single-player campaign only the game Cyberpunk 2077 will be released in April. And the multi-player will be released after the single-player and after the release of free single-player and DLC content. Also, it looks like the company is also hiring a specific team for the multi-player development. Because the tweet links directly to CD Projekt RED recruitment page. This page shows that there are eight job vacancies for a multiplayer team. From that we can assume that multi-player though confirmed is in the very beginning of the development. If you are interested the job titles listed in the website are game designer, design director, senior gameplay programmer.
“As we’re getting closer to launching
‘single player’ Cyberpunk 2077 in Apr. 2020, we’d like to confirm that
multiplayer’s in the works” .
“The plan for now is to deliver Cyberpunk 2077 in April, then follow up with DLCs (free!) and single player content, and — once we’re done — invite you for some multiplayer action.”
That being said there are not even one rumour on what the multi-player on Cyberpunk 2077 might look like.
Also one of th emost recent news about the game is that it will be in first person perspective. Here is a gameplay walkthrough video.
