Yesterday during Microsoft XO19 British video game developer Rare announced a brand-new IP (Intellectual Property) titled Everwild. A stunning 1:38 cinematic trailer for the new game was released. The game will be exclusive for Xbox and Windows 10.
New game trailer kind of reminds everyone of Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Everwild game world looks like a mix of natural and magical world and in the release statement developers say that their goal is “creating something truly original and incredibly special that aims to be more than just a new IP”. In this world we can see many animals of various species and some characters too. The classic Rare’s cartoon-style look is stunning as per usual.
There is not a lot of information on Everwild but Rare studio head Craig Duncan explains that: “While Everwild is still early in development, we are very excited about the unique potential of the game we are creating [..] We cannot wait to share more with you in the future.”
In the official game reveal statement Rare also puts emphasis on Sea of Thieves, their game that was released last year, and say that “While Everwild and the team building it will get everything they need, we are still fully committed to Sea of Thieves — Joe, Mike, Shelley and the team still have plenty of creative ideas and plans to bring to Sea of Thieves for a long time to come and we have a number of central teams that support both games.”
