YUR is a fitness-oriented VR developer company that has announced YUR.watch version 2.3.5 that comes with various bug fixes and good news for Oculus Quest users. YUR.watch is a virtual smartwatch that you wear on your virtual wrist while you play VR games and it tracks your heartrate, calories burned, squats. The app is compatible with a lot of PC VR games. You can download the app and see the compatible game list in YOR official website.

YUR.watch is very easy to use. You activate it just by swiping your wrist. Here are the YUR.watch features:

  • Realtime activity overlay over any game
  • Estimated Heart Rate (Using Machine Learning)
  • Leveling and XP system where 1 kCal = 1 XP
  • Support for dedicated Bluetooth Heart Rate monitors (optional)
  • Fitness Metrics (Squats, more coming soon)
  • Dashboard with fitness tracking and historical achievements
  • Leaderboard and Gameplay across VR games
  • Disable or manage overlay in Overlay Setting

“The YUR.watch is similar to a real-world watch in that it has a band, tells the time, runs applications that track your fitness, and has a watch face. It differs in that it is obviously not physical and can support many different configurations and skins,” YUR Co-Founder and CPO Dilan.

YUR.watch is in early access and it is totally for free and smartwatch developers say that the basic functions of the watch will remain free after Early Access ends. The watch is compatible with many Oculus Quest games like Synth Riders, Sairento, OhShape and RocketNX. The more calories you burn, more XP you earn. XP can be used to unlock various YUR.watch skins – Common, Uncommon and Rare. There is a total of 60 levels.

“Over the course of the last quarter we’ve seen an incredible shift in the world due to COVID-19, people are looking for new avenues to stay active while at-home. Now, over 5.1+ million workouts have been logged by over 60,000 users; and with so much time spent at home now is the time to join them,” Dilan Shah of YUR.
